Is There Anybody Out There?

Since her birth, filmmaker Ella Glendining has lived with a disability so rare that for a very long time she thought she was the only one on earth with it. She uses the Internet and social media to find people with similar conditions. But then the corona pandemic intervenes and makes it even more difficult to get in touch. Refreshingly honest and deeply personal, Ella Glendining’s film shows her life with a disability, reflects on experiences of discrimination, and still manages to be a source of hope. (Joachim Kurz)
