THE FALLING SKY, directed by Eryk Rocha and Gabriela Carneiro da Cunha, explores the experiences of the Brazilian Yanomami people. The film's title is derived from a local apocalyptic myth. In this myth, the sky is said to have literally fallen and was subsequently raised again by the Xapiri spirits, who are believed to still hold it up to this day.
