The Return of the Projectionist

There’s a 50-year age difference between Samid and his grandson Ayaz, but one thing unites them: their love of cinema. After the sudden death of his son, Samid decides to restore his old Soviet-era film projector and reopen the village’s former cinema. However, the obstacles standing in the way of fulfilling this dream are many: the old projector lamp is broken, and replacement parts are hard to find. Additionally, the mayor demands moral decency, the screen needs replacing, and the last reel of the film is missing. How can it all work out? (Joachim Kurz)
