Media and fictional scenes merge hypnotically with documentary footage. The empire is diligent and nervous, the American Dream glitched into a ghostly autosuggestion. It is based on the piano piece “A Maiden's Prayer” by the Polish composer Tekla Bądarzewska-Baranowska, published in 1856, which is used as the theme tune for garbage collection in Taiwan.
