Rand Beiruty accompanies seven teenage girls as they adjust to their new lives in Germany. Over the period of four years, we witness them stepping into the unknown. We see how they navigate friendships, study hard in school, help family and friends, search for careers, and even find marriage. The girls claim their own place in society while dealing with the pressures and conflicts of being defined as immigrants and refugees, all while navigating their roles as young women within their families and communities.
