K-BOB STAR is a project that turns an Asian woman, who is not part of the mainstream, into a virtual figure within mainstream pop culture and examines her life from various perspectives. Son Young-E, an older woman from South Korea (the artist’s grandmother), belongs to the marginalized, as she has never received recognition in Korean society. She was never involved in economic activities and dedicated her entire life to housework and domestic duties. In this project, she becomes a virtual pop star, completely detached from reality. In this world, Son Young-E takes on the rap name "Big Hand" and lends her voice to instrumental tracks of popular pop songs. The alter ego "Big Hand" reveals her life and values through unvarnished, direct lyrics.
